SEC Analyst Says Media Circus Will Follow Texas QB in 2025

AUSTIN — If anyone thought the hype around Texas Longhorns football would be a short run in the SEC, think again.
Soon to be redshirt sophomore quarterback Arch Manning is considered the next big thing in college football next season after playing a role in is College Football Playoff semifinal appearance.
SEC Network analyst Marty Smith believes the hype around Manning will mirror ex-Gators quarterback and Heisman winner Tim Tebow.

Manning made his first career starts in 2024 in relief of then injured quarterback Quinn Ewers, who will now venture into the NFL. As a redshirt freshman, the Louisiana native played in 10 games completing 61-of-90 pass attempts for 939 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions along with another 108 yards and four scores on the ground.
