NORMAN, Okla. — Little Rock, Ark., 2025 safety prospect Omarion Robinson surged upward in Rival’s recruiting rankings Tuesday following the completion of its summer evaluation period. The Parkview product rose a total of 87 spots from No. 121 to No. 34 Tuesday afternoon.

Robinson is now Oklahoma’s highest rated commitment for its 2025 class, according to Rivals. His performance at Rivals 5-Star camp was considered “nearly flawless” which comes as no surprise considering his domination of in-state competition.

With Robinson’s stock rising with Rivals, it was interesting to look back at how long it has been since the Natural State produced a prospect with a 6.0 evaluation score. Former West Memphis offensive lineman Chris Morris was the No. 55 prospect and No. 1 in Arkansas for 2020 but committed to Texas A&M.

He made multiple trips with the Sooners before accounting his pledge July 8. The Razorbacks were likely runner-up in his recruitment as the home state school.

“Coach [Brandon] Hall has been recruiting me since 9th grade and he’s always reaching out,” Robinson said prior to his announcement. “The Sooners’ brotherhood the players have is real big. I can see myself playing there, in the SEC, as a freshman and competing for a national championship.”

The 6-foot, 185-pound safety is as versatile as any athlete in the country. Robinson can play multiple positions including kick/punt returner, running back and wide receiver along with his duties in the secondary.

He’s shown himself to be a dangerous playmaker throughout his high school career. That includes a memorable debut as freshman in 2021 when he scored four touchdowns between reps on defense and special teams.

As a junior, Robinson recorded 42 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Offensively, he caught 16 passes for 465 yards and three touchdowns. He tacked on another 15 carries for 119 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
