Rebels trending for commitment from top 10 quarterback
Kiffin looking to seal the deal for commitment of major 4-star passer

If there’s one position Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin knows best it’s quarterback and he has the Rebels smoothly in the mix for 2026 4-star passer Landon Duckworth.
The 6-foot-3, 190 pound dual threat is the No. 47 overall player in his class, No. 6 among quarterbacks and No. 3 prospect in Alabama. South Carolina appeared to have the momentum early on in Duckworth’s recruitment but he now appears to be leaning towards Ole Miss, according to 247sports recruiting reporter David Johnson.

Duckworth was prolific throughout his junior season completing 162-of-243 passes for 3,439 yards, 39 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He proved to be dangerous with his legs tacking on another 648 yards and 12 scores on the ground.
The Jackson, Alabama native has 32 reported scholarship offers including Florida State, Georgia, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M and UCLA. He is expected to announce his college destination this summer with it likely coming down to the Rebels and Gamecocks.

Ole Miss currently holds commitments from three players for the class of 2026 with three 3-stars in tow in running back Ja’Michael Jones, wide receiver Jameson Powell and athlete Zion Legree. Kiffin’s class ranks No. 13 among SEC teams, No. 48 overall nationally with an average player ranking of 88.67 points.
One interesting tidbit on Duckworth is that he competes in several sports at Jackson High School including basketball and track. He competes in both the 100m and 200m. He has also won the state championship as a member of his school’s 4×1 relay team.
