Another SEC program falls in line by canceling spring game
It appears Missouri will not hold a spring game the next two seasons

COLUMBIA, Mo. –- University of Missouri head football coach Eliah Drinkwitz announced Monday the program’s spring practice dates.
The Tigers will use the allotted practice sessions allowed by the NCAA during the spring in preparation for the 2025 season. Due to the Memorial Stadium Centennial Project construction impacts during each of the next two offseasons, Mizzou football will not be holding a Spring Game in 2025 or 2026. Additionally, all practices will be closed to the public.
Missouri is coming off back-to-back 10-plus win seasons for just the third time in program history and achieved its eighth overall double-digit victory campaign. Drinkwitz enters his sixth season at the helm and joins College Football Hall of Famer Gary Pinkel (2001-15) as the only two Mizzou head coaches with multiple 10-win seasons.
Under Drinkwitz’s guidance over the last two years, the Tigers have finished the year ranked in the top 25 and posted a combined 21-5 overall record, including an 11-5 mark in SEC play, which is tied for the third-best two-year stretch in program history.
The Tigers opens the 2025 season hosting Central Arkansas at Faurot Field. Mizzou will also have additional home games against Kansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State.
