This will be his third different program in four seasons after beginning his career in Starkville under the late Mike Leach. He was arrested twice over the past two years in Athens and was removed from the team before last season by coach Kirby Smart.
“On Rara [Thomas], had a chance to sit down and meet with him face-to-face Tuesday, which I think was really important and let him know that he can no longer be a part of the football team,” Smart said Aug. 1. “He understands that and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
Listed at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, he has caught 85 passes over three seasons for 1,2661 yards (15 yards per catch) and 13 touchdowns.
